Innovation Weekend San Francisco will take place on July 23rd, 2016. It is a pitch contest for early stage San Francisco based startups looking to expand internationally. It is the third stop on Innovation Weekend's 2016 world tour which will also visit New York, Berlin, Osaka, Tokyo and possible a few other cities before returning to Tokyo at years end for 2016's Grand Finale event in Tokyo.
In San Francisco, Innovation Weekend is partnering with the J-POP Summit and Sukiyaki to host Innovation Weekend during this year's J-POP summit which aims to introduce the latest in Japanese music, fashion, film, art, games, anime, food and of course tech-innovations. Over 120,000 people are expected to attend this year's summit to experience these activations.

J-POP SUMMIT, hosted by SUPERFROG Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a Japanese cultural festival held every summer since 2009 in San Francisco. By introducing the latest in Japanese music, fashion, film, art, games, tech-innovations, anime, food, as well as niche subcultures, the festival has become a landing platform for new trends from Japan.
